What types of projects does Malamar Construction handle?

We specialize in residential renovations, home additions, and commercial/industrial renovations. Whether it’s updating a kitchen, building an extension, or improving a commercial space, we’ve got you covered.

We offer both. Our team can work with your existing plans or collaborate with you on design and layout, helping bring your vision to life from start to finish.

Yes, Malamar Construction is fully licensed and carries both liability insurance and WSIB coverage to ensure peace of mind for every project.

We price projects based on detailed site reviews and scope discussions. Every estimate includes a clear breakdown of costs, allowances, and timelines so you know exactly what to expect.

We provide complimentary estimates for most projects. In some cases where extensive design is required, we will provide ballpark costing.

Start dates depend on the scope of work and current scheduling, but we typically hold a 4-6 week lead time. After the deposit and signed agreement are in place, we’ll give you a realistic and reliable start date.

Timelines vary depending on project complexity, but we provide clear schedules during the planning phase and keep you updated every step of the way.

You’ll have a dedicated site supervisor or project lead managing the day-to-day work. Our team and trades are all professionals we trust, and we’ll always keep lines of communication open.

Yes, we handle all necessary permits and inspections. If your project requires municipal approvals or drawings, we’ll walk you through the process.

We stand by our work with a 1-year workmanship warranty, and we honour all manufacturer warranties on materials used.

We require a 20% deposit to secure scheduling, followed by progress payments based on project milestones and a final payment following a site walkthrough and sign-off. The exact structure is outlined clearly in your agreement.

Most of our work is done by our in-house team to maintain quality and consistency. For electrical, complex plumbing, and HVAC, we work with a small group of trusted, licensed subcontractors we’ve vetted over years. All work remains under our supervision.
